I came too tucked tightly in warm blankets. As my brain shook off the effects of whatever Meredith had used to knock me out, I recognized the particular feel of an electric blanket wrapped around me. I was on the couch now, and the living room floor was clear. Kit sat in Jesse's rocker, a little bundle of blankets in her arms.

"Can I see her?" I croaked.

Kit looked up with a smile and brought her to me. She nestled the small body against my chest and then helped me sit up, pushing pillow after pillow behind my back. "Where's Kurt?" I asked. "Jesse? Meredith?"

"Jesse and Meredith are getting some rest before everyone else gets back, but Kurt should be here any minute."

I could feel Kurt was much nearer than before, though he wasn't in speaking distance yet.

"Have you decided on a name for her?"

I shook my head. "For so long, I felt guilty about naming her without Charles. And then... I thought I still had a little time, you know?"

Kit returned to the rocker. "There's no rush. My cousin Judith took a whole week after birth to decide on a name for her oldest."

I nodded. My little girl rooted against my chest, so I pushed back the blankets and the clean robe someone had dressed me in and pressed her to my nipple. It took a little prodding, but once she latched on, she started sucking like a pro. After she finished, Kit took her again and tucked her in a bassinet Jesse must have brought down, and all I had to do was glance over to see her. I fell asleep again, and didn't wake until I felt Kurt's lips press against mine.

My eyes flew open, and I felt knots of tension unlock in my back. "You're okay."

Kurt kissed my forehead. "I'm okay. And look who I brought."

He stepped aside to reveal Liam. Liam took half a step, then hesitated, breaking my heart. I held my arms open and he practically leaped into them. The force made me gasp in pain as my stitches stretched, but when Kurt moved as if to caution Liam, I shook my head.

"I missed you, Liam."

"I missed you, too, Daddy."

His little shoulders shook with sobs, and tears streamed carelessly down my cheeks. When his body stilled, I loosened my hold so he could stand up. "Look," I told him. "It's your little sister."

Liam looked down with the curiosity and uncertainty of a seven-year-old. "She looks like a doll," he said finally.

"She'll grow fast," Kurt said. "And you'll have to teach her and protect her, just like you did Evan when he was little."

"He's still little," scoffed Liam.

"I guess you'll just have to teach both of them," I said, pushing a lock of hair out of his face. He yawned, and I pulled him close for another hug. "Do you want to sleep in my room tonight, or do you want to sleep with your brother?"

"I can sleep with him," Liam said with a cautious look at the baby.
